I created 4 short films or video trailers to announce the new band, Divine Fits. The superband consists of Spoon’s Britt Daniel, Dan Boeckner (formerly of Handsome Furs and Wolf Parade) and New Bomb Turks’ Sam Brown. They’re putting out an album later this year on Merge.

The concept for the trailers is the emergence of objects, of body, of identity and ultimately of the project, Divine Fits. Each trailer maintains a sense of indeterminate space and abstraction.

Check out the third music video trailer that I made for the band Divine Fits.

The concept for the trailers is the emergence of objects, of body, of identity and ultimately of the project, Divine Fits.

For this piece, I was inspired by masks and head-gear spanning centuries from ancient Aztec, Mayan, Japanese and Venetian masks, to Saxon armor. These “skins” reveal and conceal the fleeting expressions on the face, culminating in an ecstatic release.

The band consists of Spoon’s Britt Daniel, Dan Boeckner, formerly of Handsome Furs and Wolf Parade and New Bomb Turks’ Sam Brown. They’re releasing an album August 28th on Merge.

I have created 4 short films/video teasers to announce the new band, Divine Fits.

The band consists of Spoon’s Britt Daniel, Dan Boeckner, formerly of Handsome Furs and Wolf Parade and New Bomb Turks’ Sam Brown. They’re putting out an album later this year on Merge.

The concept for the trailers is the emergence of objects, of body, of identity and ultimately of the project, Divine Fits. Each trailer maintains a sense of indeterminate space and abstraction.

For this track, I was inspired to create a figure who is awakening. There is something mystical and strange about this scene, a sense of emergence that harkens back to the first trailer, the orb of light.

You can hear “My Love is Real” in entirety, plus watch my 2nd trailer here:
